Curriculum Intent
At Polam Hall School, our Computing curriculum aims to:

Provide students with the basic and advanced skills required to use digital technology comfortably in any situation. This includes online etiquette and appropriate use of online communication apps and tools.

Give students the opportunity to problem solve at all levels, including pattern recognition, decomposition and abstraction.

Develop pupils’ independence and critical thinking, linking ideas and concepts in the classroom to real world scenarios.

Students provide extended responses and have the ability to self-evaluate for future development of their work and/or programs.

Provide students with the knowledge and awareness of the wider impact of technology on the world including safe online conduct and the impact of e-waste.
