Hire our Facilities
Polam Hall has a range of different facilities available for hire. Be it for business use, adult evening classes, local interest groups, or weddings and social functions, we have a choice of unique hire spaces, each with a character and charm of their own.
Polam Hall’s original buildings date back to 1794 and no visitor can escape this sense of history, made all the more atmospheric by twenty acres of sweeping grassland, gravelled walkways, and an established rose arboretum. It’s not surprising that in addition to regular room hires from local groups, our school grounds are also popular for corporate and social marquee events and photographic shoots.

The following facilities are available for hire:
LIDDIARD THEATRE
A purpose-built theatre with flexible seating for up to 450 people; full blackout facility; a raised stage with curtains; grand piano, and a professional sound and lighting box. The Liddiard is ideal for performing arts groups looking for rehearsal space, a working venue for regular classes, or to perform their annual shows. Also a perfect venue for conferences, training events and other corporate hire. Technical support available by arrangement.
GYMNASIUM
Polam Hall has a gymnasium for hire outside school hours – both ideal for fitness classes and adult recreational sports. The gym is a traditional school sports hall with climbing bars, floor mats and adjacent changing rooms.
HALL
We have a smaller hall which could be used for children’s parties or clubs out of school hours. Currently used by one Brownie pack, it is perfect for this type of activity. It has its own external door to the playground and toilets.
LIBRARY
Polam Hall’s Library is in the oldest part of the School and provides a peaceful, traditional setting with elegant full-height windows overlooking the grounds and two large fireplaces. The room is fully carpeted and is available for meeting hire, corporate training sessions and private social functions, as well as local groups looking for a quiet space such as book clubs and meditation and yoga classes.
LABORATORIES AND OTHER ROOMS
Our Food Technology and Science laboratories are available out of school hours for adult education classes, local interest groups, private cooking schools and cookery demonstrations.
There is also a wide range of traditional teaching classrooms for educational and corporate hire; music rehearsal rooms and a large dining hall.
GROUNDS – TWENTY ACRES
Twenty acres of landscaped space ideal for outdoor corporate events, marquee weddings, garden parties, etc with ample hard-standing parking and access to grassed areas by a gravel path. Catering available by arrangement or outside caterers welcome.
SPORTS FACILITIES
Sports facilities including tennis courts, outdoor pitch used for football, rugby and cricket, and netball courts – all hires include use of our changing rooms.
