Curriculum Intent

At Polam Hall School our Art and Design curriculum aims to:

  • Nurture imagination and creativity within our pupils, allowing them to explore their own love, curiosity and appreciation of Art and Design. 

  • Actively engage pupils in the creative process of Art and Design to develop as effective and independent learners. 

  • Deliver creative, engaging and innovative lessons which develop curiosity and confidence when exploring a range of media, techniques and processes. 

  • Acquire and develop transferable skills through purposeful investigative, experimental, and analytical practice,  

  • Foster an understanding of the purpose Art and Design has in the Creative and Cultural industries and beyond.
