At Polam Hall School our Design Technology Curriculum aims to:

• To build and develop learning which results in the acquisition of knowledge and mastering practical skills.
• To encourage pupils to use their creativity and imagination, to design, make, evaluate and improve products that solve real and relevant problems. 
• To give pupils opportunities to reflect upon and evaluate past and present design technology, its uses and its effectiveness.
• To encourage pupils to become innovators and risk takers,

taking inspiration from design, past and present.
